    Computer borked :l

Welp, today my computer decided to shit itself and not load after the "Starting Windows" screen. Safe mode doesn't work along with System Restore. Don't know why this is happening :l

Take harddrive out, put in other computer.... access filesystem to backup data..... Then reinstall Windows.

Pretty much guaranteed to fix it / grab your data as well..... Unless you don't care about data... then just reformat

Also I don't really care about my data since the only programs I really only used was steam and chrome.

Uh using the factory disks (if you have them) isn't an awful idea.

But generally better to use a clean Windows image and just go find your drivers on the motherboard / OEM (Ie, Dell / Toshiba / Apple / w.e. it is) websites.

If you don't have a clean Windows disc (ie, one NOT made by an OEM), you can download the version of Windows you need from Microsoft. Just get the one that matches your COA sticker (Shiny sticker on PC case... hopefully).

Also, if I wasn't clear.... There's probably a hundred easier ways to fix your issue. But I CBF'd figuring it out. A reformat will fix it 99.9% of the time (if harddrive's MBT or underlying firmware is fucked.... for example.... not likely based on your symptoms).

Just did a factory reset and everything is a-ok now. Chrome saved all my shit on it and I just need to redownload my Steam games.
