    3-28-2015 20:33:04 PST - TS3 Unexpected Downtime

    Herro peoples,

As some of you may have noticed, last night around 20:33:04 PST, our TS3 went "offline" for a period of about 3 minutes.

Issue isn't expected to replicate. Sorry for any issues experienced as a cause of this unexpected downtime.

According to NFO, Internap null-routed the entire NFO TS3 shared IP due to a DDOS. Full info from NFO is below:

    Temporary null-route
Mar 28 2015 8:33:04 PM PT A very large DDoS attack against the IP address hosting voice server customers of your type at this location overloaded our connection speed and/or our router's filtering capacity a short while ago and caused location-wide problems. We were forced to null-route the shared IP address as an emergency measure, which caused the collateral damage of stopping clients from being able to connect to your server. This emergency null-route only lasted a few minutes and was automatically removed.

From the wording / assumptions on the operational setup of NFO / Internap..... It's highly unlikely NFO fixed anything.

This was likely Internap null-routing NFO's TS3-specific VOIP network IP's. NFO is just copy and pasting in all likelihood.

    Agreed! lol

NFO's DDoS prevention, is basically Internap. NFO's advanced routing features is basically Internap. Their everything is thanks to being on Internap; and it's not like its a secret they openly admit it. But it's always hard to credit NFO Servers for doing anything right with out re-examing it. I think the only thing we can always say they did do right is living on the Internap backbone.
